To be an active participant in you own care, it is important to talk with your treating doctor(s) openly and honestly. Because Fabry disease affects many areas of the body, you may be visiting physicians from several different specialties. During your medical visits, be sure to ask any questions you may have concerning your disease, its symptoms, and treatments available. Being prepared may help you get the most out of your visits.
