Living with Fabry Disease

Living with Fabry disease can present a unique set of emotional and/or social challenges. At times, you may feel as though others do not understand how you feel. It may also be difficult to communicate your experiences and feelings to others.

The Living with Fabry Disease section was developed to help you and others with Fabry disease overcome these challenges. In the section entitled Patient Profiles, you can read about how other people with Fabry disease are coping with the disorder. Although every person’s experience with Fabry disease is different, some of the experiences and feelings expressed in these profiles may be familiar to you and remind you that you are not alone. In addition, this section offers advice about how to communicate effectively with others about your feelings and experiences in dealing with Fabry disease.
